Michelle Rolle, 52, a shop owner in Nassau, voiced concern about the negative portrayal of The Bahamas. “Our community thrives on tourism. Presenting such scenes to international media could harm our reputation and livelihoods,” she said. Rolle fears that such coverage might deter tourists, impacting local businesses and the economy.
On the other hand, Kevin Johnson, 37, a local fisherman from Andros Island, believes in portraying a realistic image of The Bahamas. “While we are mostly peaceful and welcoming, we have our issues like any other country.
