Those of us paying attention to the political landscape need clarification about what we see. We all know that the FNM is in turmoil. The ball of confusion is that their leaders cannot resonate with the base.
There is another school of thought: spoiled brat Hubert Minnis did not get the memo that his days are over. Hubert Ingraham refuses to play with his grandchildren and enjoy his hundreds of millions in money and influence.
Ingraham is sulking, watching Davis, whom he despises, run such a successful government, doing some things that he, who is supposed to be smarter, did not do.
The mysterious Ingraham seems to have muddied the water because he, on the surface, is cosying up to the PLP and pretending to be a buddy with leadership. Ingraham is green with envy!
What is genuinely confusing is that while He is seen with his former law partner Christie everywhere, no one questions the possibility of a lifelong friendship; he still is mentoring Michael Pintard and, at the same time, coaching Duane Sands behind to take over the FNM.
‘Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.’
But the games Ingraham plays are ambiguous, to put it mildly. Can anyone trust him on either side? Should the PLP risk what they are doing in plain view for him to see? He does not hide his hand.
While on the campaign trail in the recent by-election, even though he told PLP behind the scenes that the Bishop was a weak candidate. Did he show up because he was paid or believed they could win?
We remember how Ingraham stabbed Tommy Turnquest in the back in plain sight. Can a leopard change its spot?
He can be both a supporter of Pintard and a best friend of the P[LP leadership. He is either fish or fowl as to which he is throwing his weight behind.
The PLP should err on the side of caution.
