GENERAL SITUATION: CATASTROPHIC HURRICANE DORIAN CONTINUES TO DEVASTATE GRAND BAHAMA WHILE FEEDER BANDS AFFECT THE NORTHWEST AND PORTIONS OF THE CENTRAL BAHAMAS.
SPECIAL WARNINGS: A HURRICANE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF THE NORTHWEST BAHAMAS WHICH INCLUDE: GRAND BAHAMA, THE ABACOS, BIMINI AND THE BERRY ISLANDS. ISOLATED TORNADOES ARE ALSO POSSIBLE… SMALL CRAFT OPERATORS SHOULD REMAIN IN PORT.
AREA: REMAINDER OF THE NORTHWEST AND CENTRAL BAHAMAS:
WEATHER: CLOUDY TO OVERCAST AND VERY WINDY WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH SOME BECOMING HEAVY TO SEVERE AT TIMES.

(2) ANOTHER AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED OVER THE SOUTH-CENTRAL GULF OF MEXICO HAS A 70 PERCENT FOR TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION THROUGH 5 DAYS. (3) A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IS LOCATED SEVERAL HUNDRED MILES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF BERMUDA HAS A MEDIUM CHANCE OF 30 PERCENT CHANCE OF TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION THROUGH 5 DAYS. (4) A TROPICAL WAVE IS FORECASTED TO EMERGE OVER THE FAR EASTERN TROPICAL ATLANTIC BETWEEN AFRICA AND THE CABO VERDE ISLANDS IN A FEW DAYS AND HAS A 50 PERCENT CHANCE FOR TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION THROUGH 5 DAYS.
