Bahamas Immigration Officers spotted, searched and took into custody a Suspected Surinam Citizen at LPIA this afternoon and upon further search, found said female individual to be in possession of (11) eleven packages of suspected Cocaine, strapped to her person. Said party was later handed over to Officers of the RBPF., Drug Enforcement Unit for further investigations.
Confiscated Weight of Drugs discovered by Immigration Officers last night was estimated at 10.4 pounds of Suspected Cocaine. Brilliant work by our Officers. This proves that even as we suffer, there are those who WILL seek to exploit our circumstances but we remain ALERT and Immigration Strong!
