USAID – US Agency for International Development partner World Food Programme distributed nearly 14,000 individual ready-to-eat meals that were airlifted from Miami, Florida to the Bahamas.
From sunrise to sundown, USAID’s Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance search & rescue members have been walking through marshes, debris, & mud in Abaco, Bahamas to make sure nobody is left behind. On Monday, they conducted structural assessments and spoke with Hurricane Dorian survivors to assess humanitarian needs in remote communities. All these efforts and more are ongoing.
