EDITOR GRADE: D
REASON: The pop star FNM flame is slowly dying down. If you look past the pomp and pageantry, you will understand why Mr. Cartwright’s D grade is more than fair. This member of parliament could be considered one of the biggest hypocrite in the Minnis lead government. St. Barnabas demographics are similar to neighboring over the hill communities, but Mr. Cartwright does not same to understand that or care. He could really learn a thing or two from Travis Robinson.
He voted in favor of the 12% VAT hike an admitted that he would accept the political price for doing so. Mr. Cartwright is now paying the price with his wallet. He is currently delivering grocery packages for select homes in the consistency. There seems to be no system or criteria in place to get those packages.
There are also reports that allege he is abusing his chairman position. Constituents are complaining that he is taking contracts away for various political reasons.
Lastly, for those who disagree with my opinion, I would suggest that you pay a visit to a St. Barnabas FNM constituency meeting and compare it to a PLP meeting.
Position: Chairman of The Bahamas Public Parks and Public Beaches Authority

Notable Quotes:
“Mr Speaker, I am going to be very direct with this. Maybe there will be a political price for the hard choice that has to be made. Maybe I will have to pay that political price, but I tell you this: I would rather pay the price than the heavy price that the Bahamian people would have to pay should we not make that choice.”
