The lead clown act is Hubert Minnis, who seems not to notice that no matter what he does, no one is laughing at his stale jokes anymore. Even the cowards who kept silent while Minnis wreaked havoc on an unsuspecting society are not laughing anymore, but the Four Ring Circus has brought back older and more seasoned clowns to try to keep the crowd.
Hubert Ingraham has a few tricks up his sleeve; he has now entered stage left to confuse everything so that his juggling act specialist, Duane Sands, could get a few applause. It may be a stretch because Sands has been boring in his last show, but to the crowds delight in an amazing high wire act, and jumping through hoops too is Branville McCartney, where there is never a dull moment.
McCartney would bring with him a high level of partying with the consumption of alcohol and strippers, unmatched. The excitement would never stop because they would be a party all day and party all night. Who would have thought that the FNM would have been brought to a laughing matter?
No one in The Bahamas is taking the FNM seriously now. If Hubert Ingraham thinks that the influence that he had before still exists and that Minnis has not poisoned the minds of FNM against his kind, and that the council is not stacked with Minnisites, then all and sundry are delusional.
Crafty Minnis has been planning for the possibility of a showdown all along.
Keep a picture of the FNM you see today because there will be nothing left after November 27.
