Profoundly is a new viral Facebook application that allows users to share their true & intense thoughts anonymously with their friends.
The creators believe that people want to say so much more (to their friends) but don’t have a judgment-free platform. So Profoundly was created to be that platform. According to the developers, messages shared on Profoundly will always remain anonymous. Your identity will never be disclosed. All names & messages are strongly encrypted. However sending an abusive, vulgar, hateful message may get you blocked on profoundly.
Now here is the problem, there are now international reports of violent acts carried out because of this game. We are currently following a story where a 19-year-old American female was fatally stabbed to death because events triggered by Profoundly.
