It’s political musical chairs — and Travis Robinson may be left without a seat.
In a twist straight out of a political soap opera, whispers are growing louder that embattled MP Travis Robinson is desperately trying to switch constituencies amid speculation that mega-wealthy businessman Sebas Bastian is preparing to make his political debut in Fort Charlotte.
The buzz has ignited fiery debate in the constituency — and some say it’s already game over for Travis.
“Sebas would win by lunchtime,” one Fort Charlotte resident quipped. “Travis can’t match his reach, his resources — or his results. One built companies. The other built what, exactly?”
Ouch.
Robinson, once hailed as the rising star of the FNM, is now scrambling behind the scenes, reportedly lobbying to secure a safer seat before the next general election rolls around. The optics? Not good. Critics say it reeks of panic.
“This is the man who couldn’t win Fort Charlotte. Now he’s watching Sebas come in with a track record of helping people and actual money to spend — he’s nervous, and he should be,” another resident said, laughing.
Locals aren’t holding back. The response to Sebas possibly entering the race has been overwhelmingly positive. His name alone has reportedly stirred more enthusiasm in the constituency than anything Robinson’s done in years.
“You put those two next to each other and it’s no contest,” said one shop owner. “Travis is all talk. Sebas has receipts.”
Political insiders say Robinson has already approached senior FNM officials about moving elsewhere — an admission, many believe, that he knows the fight for Fort Charlotte is one he can’t win.
“It’s the political version of duck and run,” a source inside the party said.
So now the question looms: Is Travis being pushed out of Fort Charlotte — or is he running before he’s publicly humiliated?
One thing’s clear — if Sebas Bastian officially throws his hat in the ring, Fort Charlotte is about to become the hottest political battleground in the country. And Travis? He’s already looking for the exit.
Stay tuned. This is only just heating up.
