The Department of Education Business Studies Unit recently hosted its first Junior High School Speech Competition at the Learning Resources Unit. The topic dissected was “Discuss the Importance of Technology within The Bahamas”. Reniah Curry beat out four other participating schools and took the first place trophy on behalf of D. W. Davis Junior High. Coming in second place was Shakeva Phang from H.O. Nash Junior High; and right behind in third was Daphnie Romain from T. A. Thompson Junior High. The other participating schools were A.F. Adderley Junior High and L.W. Young Junior High.
