On Thursday evening, Bahamians of the business community had the opportunity to see firsthand how entrepreneurship is improving lives in The Bahamas.
The Bahamas Striping Group of Companies officially launched its million dollar company, The Investment Group Company Ltd, which is described as a cross between the government’s self-starter grant and the Bahamas Entrepreneurial Venture Fund, which invests in new or rapidly growing companies.
The principals of Bahamas Striping, President, Atario Mitchell, and Chairman, Dominic Sturrup are aware that many businesses started by entrepreneurs sometimes find themselves bootstrapped for cash, and are lacking mentorship, and this is how the idea of the newly established company was crystalized. They are firm believers that empowering aspiring entrepreneurs will help to build a viable and sustainable economy.
The Investment Group is managed by an independent board of well known and respected business men and women who have achieved great success over their careers. They will be able to provide the successful recipients with the necessary expertise and coaching whether it’s in accounts, law, marketing, human resources and/or operations which are integral in propelling their companies forward.
