Mrs. Ann Marie Davis, Dr. Cleare O’Connor, and Mr. Tajh J. Seymour were guest judges of Dr. Erecia Hupburn’s School of Chemistry & Environmental Sciences bioethics class.

Dr. Hepburn is also the newly elected Chairman of the School of Chemistry and Environmental Sciences at the University of the Bahamas.
Students were paired in groups of ten and presented their research findings on sensitive topics such as Abortion, Euthanasia, and Vaccinations.
The student researchers visually showed the results of their surveys, which highlighted their conclusions towards their overall viewpoint on the subject. Their goal was to gauge the public’s perception of sensitive societal issues.
Dr. Hepburn consistently provides her students access to a variety of professions to enhance their learning experience. Judges were able to give feedback and guidance towards the young aspiring researchers.
The invited panel of judges from a cross-section of society are well qualified. Mr. Seymour is a current Doctorate of Information Technology candidate and Mrs. Davis, a Chartered Accountant and Dr. O’Connor.
The invited panel addressed each group providing creative advice for the advancement of their research.
